Sun, Sea, and Sand: Your Way to the Best Beaches in Malta

In the heart of the Mediterranean, the enchanting archipelago of Malta is widely known for its crystal-clear waters, golden sands, and the promise of a perfect beach getaway. Whether you’re here to soak up the sun, enjoy a refreshing swim, or simply want to visit these picturesque locations, we’ve got the perfect guide for you!

Ghadira Bay

Ghadira Bay, also known as Mellieha Bay, is Malta’s largest and one of its most popular sandy beaches. Its shallow waters stretching far into the sea make it ideal for families and less confident swimmers. The beach is well-equipped with facilities and offers a variety of water sports, making it a vibrant spot for those seeking both relaxation and adventure.

Ramla Beach, Gozo

A trip to Gozo, is probably on your list whilst visiting Malta. If so, no trip to Gozo is complete without a visit to the stunning Ramla Bay! Known for its unique reddish-golden sand, this beach is not just a beauty to behold but also steeped in history, with legends of Roman villas and mythical ties to Homer’s Odyssey. Its natural beauty and clear waters make it a favourite among both locals and tourists.

Malta Letting Tip – Whilst there, you might want to make your way to ‘Tal-Mixta Cave’. This cave is accessible through two routes: a more challenging ascent from Ramla Beach, or a simpler path via the outskirts of Nadur, as guided by Google Maps. Should you choose the Nadur route, note that the journey, heading north across the plateau, involves navigating a somewhat narrow and uneven road.
